INSTRUCTIONS

COVER:  Cut and past a 5" x 5" piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock onto the front of the CD sleeve.  I cut & inked the frosting and base of the cupcake, ran the base through a crimper, glued chunky glitter onto the cherry, and added a small dark piece of ribbon to the top for a stem.  I popped all the pieces off the cover with pop dots.

INTERIOR TOP:  I cut a piece of Regal Rose cardstock to fit the sleeve part of the top right.  I punched the frosting & base of the cupcake out with the Build A Cupcake punch, ran the base through the crimper and popped it off the page with pop dots.  I stamped a few images using elements from the Create a Cupcake stamp set.  The card that pulls out from the left was made with Pretty In Pink cardstock and the Round Tab punch

INTERIOR BOTTOM:  The bottom part is made from 2 scored pull-out pages.  Cut 2 pieces of Pretty In Pink cardstock 4-1/4" x 11" long.  Score each piece at 2-1/2", 5", 7-1/2", 10" and fold like an accordion.  There will be 4 sections for each side (only 3 are pictured).  Glue an inch of the 5/8" wide pink satin ribbon on the left side of the CD sleeve in the center, and repeat with the 2nd piece for the right side. Paste the short end of each of the accordion pieces over the ribbons, flush with their respective edges and bottom of the CD sleeve, so that the accordion part being glued down folds inward.  Cut (16) 2-1/4" x 4" pieces of white cardstock.  Stamp the months of the year on 12 of them using the Full Calendar stamp set, then draw lines & decorate the edges with brown marker.  Stamp the other 4 pieces of white card stock using elements from the Create a Cupcake stamp set.  Fold the stripped ribbon in half and past it to the edge of the 2nd section of each accordion, then paste down all 16 white card stock pieces onto the accordion sections.  The order of the months should be:  (LEFT SIDE) Jan/decorated piece/Feb/Mar.  (RIGHT SIDE) Apr/May/decorated piece/Jun.  Turn the whole project over and paste the months in this order:  (LEFT SIDE) Jul/decorated piece/Aug/Sep (Jul should be on the opposite side of Jun).  (RIGHT SIDE) Oct/Nov/decorated piece/Dec (Dec should be on the opposite side of Jan).   Cut a 5" x 5" piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock and paste it on the CD base so that it covers the short piece of both accordions on either side.  Cut a 4-1/2" x 4-1/2" piece of Whisper White cardstock and past it down in the center of the Chocolate Chip cardstock.  Decorate with cupcake stamps, candles, cherry, and sentiment.  Punch a cupcake base out of the Crumb Cake cardstock and run it through the crimper for the center cupcake.

PULL OUT CARDS:  Cut 2 pieces of Pretty In Pink cardstock 4-1/4" x 4-1/2".  Using the Round Tab punch, punch 1 piece from the Riding Hood Red paper & 1 piece from the Regal Rose paper, fold the tabs over in the center, and glue 1 tab to each card, centered and flush over both sides of the card.  These cards can be used for a handwritten birthday greeting to the recipient, or left blank.  Stamp a small cherry using the Riding Hood Red ink, then punch it out with the 1/2" circle punch, adhere to the Vintage Tag with a pop dot and attach the tag's string to one of the pink satin ribbons.  Tuck the loose cards into the interior pockets, fold up the accordions, and tie the pink satin ribbons around the front cover to close the calendar.  Viola!  A card and small gift calendar in one!

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Many Happy Scrappenings,
Anna

  12. Thanks everyone for all the wonderful compliments on the cupcake card/calendar and my scrap space. I had a lot of fun making this card.

It took me months to get my scraproom finished just the way I wanted it, but I'm so happy with how it turned out. It really is a fun place to scrap. It's always changing in small ways, and I've added even more stuff since I took the pictures.

Thanks everyone for hopping on over to my little creative corner!

    Many Happy Scrappenings,
